I’m getting the feeling that this entire website is an experiment to find a string of words that will kill someone instantly upon reading them and I think the experiment is almost over
The degree to which sex is treated casually is not uniform across society. I’d say some take it too seriously and others not seriously enough. It also depends on whether your definition of casual implies irresponsibility. Sex can indeed change lives completely, so it must be handled very responsibly. But that doesn’t mean it must be forbidden, hidden or otherwise treated as tumblr’s staff and some of the hatemail I’m getting are treating it.
As for restraint, I can only say that I have more regrets about restraint than I do about its absence. Your mileage may vary.

I have a channel called #where-dem-artists-at right under the General Chat channel of the server
The primary function of this channel is for anyone to post links to blogs that artists are migrating to.
If you are an artist, or if you would like to keep following artists no matter where they go, or if you would simply like to add more to the growing list of names and places that are in this channel, you can use this informative channel to find your way.
Currently there are 850-ish users in the server and I’m going to be announcing that I would like people to create as many masterposts as they can in there with the format:
– Artist Fandom Name – Artist Tumblr URL – List of all the places they’re moving to – (Optional but Appreciated) Example of their Art
You DO NOT have to be an active member of the server, you can ignore all other functions if you so please and only use it to have a continuously growing list of names and websites. I am 100% okay with that.

I actually feel sorry for the likely unpaid intern sitting at tumblr HQ dealing with all our bullshit and snark while those actually in charge watch the world burn from a safe distance and blame it on us damn kids not buying more products. Because ultimately this is what this about. Verizon needs to make money from Tumblr, and Verizon can’t make money cause Apple says “no adult content” and Apple has a stranglehold on the app market.
The fact that a lot of us use tumblr to host our own services and products as independent creators, often as our only source of income, is irrelevant to them. The fact that to many of us this is our community is meaningless to them. We’re acceptable collateral damage to furthering corporate greed and that’s the fucking tea on that.
Also to the hypothetical unpaid intern: leave, sweety. You can do better, and you’re worth so much more.
